Next Liverpool manager: Who will replace Jurgen Klopp? All the information you need on next Liverpool manager odds

Philippe Coutinho is one of Liverpool's most devastating players.

Next Liverpool manager: Jurgen Klopp is currently a popular figure at Anfield but the charismatic German will be judged on honours won and so will be under scrutiny if he fails to deliver prior to the expiration of his extended six-year deal. If he fails, just who could replace Jurgen Klopp? We provide information on all of the likely candidates, including next Liverpool manager odds, right here.

Club Status

Liverpool are one of the historic greats in English football. A five-time European Cup winner, the club have a global reach and are seen as one of the slumbering giants as they have not been crowned champions of their own division in the Premier League era, despite multiple domestic cup successes and European triumphs.

From Steven Gerrard to Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez, Anfield has been a stomping ground for some of the world’s best talent in the past decade and with an annual revenue that exceeds £300m, it is more of a matter of when, rather than if, the club add another major trophy to their impressive honours roll.

Described as a heavy metal version of an Arsene Wenger symphony, 49-year-old Jurgen Klopp shook up Bayern Munich’s attempted monopoly on the Bundesiga by winning back-to-back German league titles with Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and 2012.

Klopp left Dortmund in 2015, after seven years of service, as the club’s longest reigning manager. And, if he goes on to create a similar legacy at Liverpool, he could be as celebrated as Kenny Dalglish and Rafa Benitez, if not Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly.

The season ahead will be the first time Klopp has the benefit of a full campaign, as well as a full summer transfer window, as he only joined Liverpool in October, 2015, having been sought out as the replacement for erstwhile manager Brendan Rodgers.

Klopp has a very dinstinctive coaching style and is personable with his players. Known for forging bonds with his staff, he remains on good terms with players like Mario Gotze, and appears to already have taken a shine to a number of Liverpool players.

Klopp is a coach in the true sense of the word and has turned around the fortunes of players like Emre Can, while also getting the very best out of Roberto Firmino.

Next Liverpool Manager Odds

If there is one weakness in Klopp’s game to date, it is that no matter how big the dynasties he builds get, they still come with an almighty fall – as his last season at Dortmund is testament to.

Liverpool fans will be hoping he gets those successes in first, if he is to repeat the career-path he trod at the Westfalonstadion. Until then, the Reds need not worry about the next Liverpool manager odds.

Owner and Manager Relationship

Tom Werner, who is chairman of Liverpool via his investment in Fenway Sports Group, thinks highly of Klopp and even went as far as to say that Liverpool wanted the German “for a long time”, once they finally got their hands on him in 2015 and despite rumours they could have signed Italian legend Carlo Ancelotti according to the next Liverpool manager odds at the time.

Fan and Manager Relationship

If there is one thing that is clear it is that Jurgen Klopp has seduced Liverpool supporters.

Key Influences - Who helps decide on the manager's future?

While Kenny Dalglish and Ian Ayre are prominent members of the board, the buck ultimately stops with Werner and John W Henry.

Potential Future Liverpool Managers and next Liverpool Manager Betting Advice

If Klopp does not extend beyond the terms on his current deal, which expires in 2022, then Liverpool may return for managers previously linked with the Anfield hotseat – like Ancelotti. The Reds have one of the most premier names in English football and, as such, will be of interest to the top managers in European football. Diego Simeone, Unai Emery and Frank de Boer could even be targeted.

However, if Klopp enjoys longevity in the Liverpool dug-out then perhaps it may not be surprising to find a former legend return to Merseyside with ex players like Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and even Xabi Alonso considered outside bets for the next Liverpool manager.
