Next AFC Bournemouth manager: Who will replace Eddie Howe? All the information you need on next Bournemouth manager odds

Eddie Howe looks on during an international friendly.

Next Bournemouth manager: Eddie Howe is one of the most highly-thought of young coaches in modern football but if he were to be recruited by one of the Premier League's big clubs, who would replace the exciting Englishman? We provide information on all of the likely candidates, including next Bournemouth manager odds, right here.

Club Status

If Leicester City’s underdog Premier League title success was the ultimate fairy-tale story then Bournemouth’s ascent into the highest echelon of English football is not far behind.

The 2017/2018 campaign will be Bournemouth’s third in the Premier League. Though Bournemouth are 118-years-old, they have come a long way in a short time as they were, after all, in League Two (the fourth rung) just seven years ago.

Much of their meteoric rise has been down to one man – and he is still in charge of the Cherries – as such, there is little talk of the next Bournemouth manager as Eddie Howe is held in such high esteem on the South Coast that it would unsettle the squad and the fan-base if he were to be moved on against his will.

For fans of a club that were so close to not only losing their league status, but going out of business altogether in the not too distant past, to now see the side mixing it with the big boys and picking up wins over the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United must be a dream come true.

Current Bournemouth Manager

Eddie Howe

Howe first joined Bournemouth 23 years ago and since then he has been and gone four times. At present, it really is the defining case of the return of the prodigal son. Howe, without question, is the greatest manager in Bournemouth's history - yet he is only 38-years-old.

In Arsene Wenger (66) and Jose Mourinho (53) terms, Howe is still a novice but he is the Football League Manager of the decade of 2005-2015 for good reason.

Under Howe’s tutelage, Bournemouth won three promotions, culminating with the latest – a Championship title that secured Premier League football two yeras ago.

Howe has long been regarded as one of the most exciting young coaches in English football and he has even shown over the last two seasons that he is capable of matching up to the very best the game has to offer.

It remains to be seen how long Howe decides to remain in Dorset before one of the bigger clubs come calling but until then, the Cherries will continue to enjoy the ride.

Next Bournemouth manager odds

Considering the esteem he is held in at AFCB, the next Bournemouth manager odds are currently stacked in Eddie Howe’s favour as the Englishman is fully expected to retain his role at Dean Court for the foreseeable future.

Owner and Manager Relationship

Chairman Jeff Mostyn is the main mouth-piece at board-room level and he is extremely vocal about how fortunate Bournemouth are to have Howe in the dugout.

Howe, according to Mostyn, is "a local boy and the local messiah," while Jason Tindall and Simon Weatherstone "are the disciples." Mostyn added: "Eddie Howe picked up the LMA Manager of the Season award ahead of coaches like Jose Mourinho. It is incredible and nothing more than Eddie deserves."

Bournemouth owner Maxim Denim is equally enamoured with Howe: “Eddie and I have a very close relationship, we speak every day and we trust each other implicitly. Our mutual respect has helped create a unique bond at the top of the club and is the foundation for all of our recent successes. I have complete faith in Eddie and his management team to establish Bournemouth in the Premier League."

Key Influences - Who helps decide on the manager's future?

The main decision maker when it came to Howe’s contract extension appeared to be Denim who, despite his status as a ‘wealthy foreign investor’, is clearly an active member of the board.

Potential Future Bournemouth Managers and Next Bournemouth Manager Betting Advice

Judging by the assumption that Bournemouth will stand by a manager who has achieved so much for the club, then the only other scenario that could see the Cherries require a replacement would be if Eddie Howe himself moves on.

This is possible.

Howe has been linked to the England role and will also have attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs looking for a new direction. Bournemouth, though, may be buoyed by the fact that there has been great - almost unprecedented - managerial upheaval of late.

The England position appears to be Gareth Southgate's for the time being at least, while other roles that Howe could feasibly be recruited for - the Everton position, Swansea City or West Ham United - have either been recently been filled or appear to be stable.

If Howe leaves in the near future then the next Bournemouth manager could be one of the currently available (unemployed) coaches. The best next Bournemouth manager betting advice may, therefore, include the likes of Alan Pardew and Jaap Stam.
